It’ll be back at Kendallville next year — August 8-10, I believe.

And yes, we have spoken to the organizers about bringing this to Wisconsin. At this point, the plan is to stay in Indiana. But they know we would be interested.

If you’re a Trudy camper, the Best Western is already taking reservations over the phone.

I remember you sitting there, but I didn’t know if you were a geocacher or not, much less one from Wisconsin! Ah well…

My bad we forgot to put our badges on after the little caching trip we were on……..but then again a guy with in camo shorts near geobash what were the odds? We’ll catch ya next time….

And as for a return trip to the bash…..hummm. It sure would be nice if it moved one or two hundred miles closer….but then again I still haven’t made my way down to Fort Wayne……I hear tell there may be a cache or two down there….BTW it took me HOURS and HOURS to log all my finds. Suddenly the “Copy Paste” method of logging looks very appealing.

I showed up Saturday morning. The only Wisconsin cacher I saw all weekend was kbraband, and the closest other cachers were ClikChik and GeekBoy. Maybe I was just too far away from the other camping areas.

Had a great time, though! I only cached on Sunday, and I found 19 caches in four states!

    Hi Dave,

Sorry to have missed bumping into ya at geobash. There was a large Wisconsin contingent in the northwest corner of the campground, with WI Robin, Team Honeybunnies, Da Bloodhound, Korpl, and myself around the fire. Making guest appearances at the WI fire were Lostby7, Greyhounder, Ken, and Marc, and a few of the Minnesota folks.

We ran into The Tapps and Auntie Nae both at the Geo-maze and later at the big coin event. I was lucky enough to get a new coin from both Renee and Brian to add to my collection..Woo hoo!

The Wisconsin contingent did a lot of cachin, with The Bandits hitting it the hardest, getting 83 in one day!!!!!!! (Wow, those guys are unbelievable!) I dont know what their weekend total was, but I am sure it was more than our team (Honeybunnies found 157, zuma 155, and WI Robin 149 over the weekend.)

And as far as next year goes, yep, the info Greyhounder posted is what was announced, and I hope to return next year.

Anyway, consider my report on geobash filed, and I finally got caught up on logging all those finds. woooooo.

We were hoping to meet up with everyone from WI at the Bash.

Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to meet some of the folks like Auntie Nae, The Taps and Dave. 🙁

Everyone we met was wonderful and happy! We had a great time and hope to be back next year in August!

We logged 195 caches for the weekend and we’re still trying to recover! 😯

    😯 WOW 😯
Those are some serious numbers….and I thought my boy and I did OK just topping 100 finds. I think I need to hook up with some of youz next year!
That said I did manage to blow about $150 on gas……

Next year I’ll probably be camping in the same place: On the east side on the other side of the fence from the Best Western. There’s a hole there to make it easy to go back and forth.
