We do not currently check for permits in Milwaukee County Parks. I hope to never have to check, but that is probably wishful thinking.
That said, if you want to get on their good side, take the time to complete and submit a permit request for your caches.
08/14/2007 at 2:10 am #1876606I just submitted a request for a cache site by e-mail. Hopefully it won’t take too long to approve. I guess I will just have to wait and see.
09/18/2007 at 3:38 pm #1876607any more news on this? Maybe I missed it somewhere else…
09/19/2007 at 1:51 pm #1876608Nothing official yet. We will let you know.
09/19/2007 at 4:36 pm #1876609Ditto here. I’m still awaiting DNR approval for one I placed about 3 weeks ago. π Considering where it is, I’d rather have the permission before just “placing it” and having TD approve it. I’m learning to be more patient. 8)

Couldn’t you ask the person you submitted the form to? Seems like a long time…I’d be impatient too. π

The e-mail they supply goes to someone who just forwards it to the Land Manager – I don’t know who that person is. I suppose I could just release it, since by the time people solve it (yeah, it’s a Mystery Cache), I’ll have the approval. Besides, there was a cache there before this one (oops, I said too much!).
I think I just heard 3 Hawks run out of the house looking for it. π

Jason, is that the puzzle cache I got the sneak peek at the grafix? I’ve been patiently awaiting that one as well.

Solving puzzles, coords, cache descriptions……who needs ’em. Now I just have to figure out the identity of the archived cache of which you speak or I could just go to sleep and let Hugh Foundit have it. Hmmm?
09/22/2007 at 3:48 am #1876614You found it on 12/30/06. I’ll see what I can do. I was going to wait for a geocoin to arrive in the mail for the FTF’er…
09/22/2007 at 3:06 pm #1876615I think I remember you mentioning something about that when you dropped me a line once. maybe I’ll just wait until the new cache posts this time. It would look rather odd for me to find the cache before it posts. π Not that I haven’t done it before. I’ve stumbled across at least 5 un-posted caches while hunting for other caches (darn puzzles) or scouting sections of woods and I’ve resorted to “letter-boxing” my way to a few puzzle cache finals based on cache descriptions and logs. Did I mention how frustrating puzzle caches can be to me due to my limited intellect.
