Last August when we were approaching #1000 I could hardly wait. Well, when we finally found it there was a big letdown. We were up at the lake and the best I could find was an easy cemetery multi. Since then we’ve focused on having more fun and letting the numbers come as they do. Our finds during the past week did put us over 1300, but even more fun was to move into the top 100 in the state rankings. Now instead of chasing other cachers I have to look behind and see who’s catching up. Now instead of how many we need to hit another 100, it’s lets go out and find 4 so we can hold onto our spot. My next number oriented goal is hide #100 (sitting at 83 right now). It would be fun to see some of the accomplishments other than another 100 acknowledged here from time to time.

Back in my early days of caching, I set my sights on getting into the top 100 cachers of Wisconsin. At the point at which I accomplished this goal, (I think it was 2005) guess how many cache finds one needed.
I ranked as high as the low 70’s at one point, but it got so that I just couldn’t keep up anymore. And now that I have over 1000 finds, I rank around 150-160. Amusing, huh?
Congratulations you two! It’s been great getting to know you over the past few years. A big thanks to feeding my husband all the time as well. 😆 Keep setting goals and achieving them. Tami
