MOGA hosts an annual geocaching event/competion, this year April 4-6 in Mark Twain state park in Missouri. Go here for more info: http://www.mogageo.com/joomla/

I am wondering if anyone else would like to go, and perhaps we can put together a Wisconsin team or teams? I know that the Minnesota Geocaching Association sends several teams each year, and perhaps it is time to join the fun?

Competitive geocaching is definitely not my thing.

Emily and I went to the last MOGA event, it is not all about competetive caching, you are also free to roam around at your leisure in Mark Twain Lake park and search for the 60+ Permanent caches that they placed this last March and I believe they are also placing as many new permanent ammo boxes out this year. This year we’re bringing the whole family for the event. Also for those not into camping the hotel we stayed at last year had very reasonable rates, around $40 each night, the Monroe City Inn, Monroe City, MO.

Too close to my Gettysburg trip during the month (darn job frowns on me taking off too much work).

Hopefully we’ll have a good group of attendees!

Update on this years price, they quoted us $45 per night for our reservation this year.
