i want a new gps. which is better, montana or oregon? never used a topo, so don’t know if that would be the type to get or go with the non-topo version. any help deciding would be appreciated.
Real brief – in my opinion the Montana is better than the Oregon 450 & 550, and the new Oregon 600 & 650 are better than the Montana. Having said that, the Montana is heavier and larger than the Oregons. That can be bad or good depending on what you would like. We were going to replace our Oregon 450 (it died) with a Montana but my wife did not like how big & heavy it was, so we went for the Oregon 650. A lot more can be said about the features but I gotta run!
