Here’s another statistic I thought would be interesting to get others to contribute to. Have you ever paid attention to the elevation on your GPSr? What was the highest elevation you have cached at and where? Likewise what has been the lowest?

The highest elevation I cached was 8,889 ft last spring in Wyoming between Cheyenne and Laramie. There’s a rest stop just off I-80 with a statue of President Lincoln. I just drove away from the cache and got back on the freeway when the winds got strong and the snow came down. It was one of the worst drives I had ever been through.

As far as my lowest elevation, I don’t have an exact figure, but I have to say it was when I was in San Francisco. They are at or below sea level in most spots out there.

I would guess that my highest elevation would be at the Headwaters of the Mississippi River in northern Minnesota. (1475 ft above sea level)

I don’t know my lowest though. I don’t go thru very many changes in elevation myself.
