Anyone else out there noticing more roadside trash this spring? Or is it the normal amount but the snow has covered it up for longer than normal.

I’ve been to downtown Milwaukee 3 times in the last week and am just embarrassed about it. It’s all over the hillsides of the freeway near the on/off ramps, and even blowing down the streets around the Bradley Center. I don’t know why the house of correction isn’t out cleaning up these areas. Instead, they have the inmates in residential areas picking up garbage. For one, I sure don’t any inmates around my house getting any kind of ideas. And second, with so many out-of-towners that go into the downtown area, why wouldn’t you make that clean and attractive first? You know, the first impression thing. I just don’t get it.

I drove to and from milwaukee last week and I saw cleanup crews almost the entire length of 41 and bags all along. They’re out there cleaning..

As to whether it’s a messy year or not, I would guess that problem just keeps getting worse and not better.

    Time for a CITO! 🙂

It’s okay…all the people who have gotten dui’s because of the economy will be out on the roads cleaning that up now that Spring is here!
