Does anyone have experience with motorcycle mounted GPSr units? A friend of mine is interested in getting one. This is all I know so far …

Garmin Zumo 550 seems like a popular choice.

Garmin Zumo 450 would be good and cost less, but seems difficult to find new ones any more.

Another option would be a TomTom Rider2 … a little less money, but not as highly rated as the Garmin.

Further feedback and ideas would be great.

    Hello

I dont own a “navigator GPS”, but have gone on many STN (sport touring.net) group rides with the guys there that have a GPS, this is my 2 cents. If your planning a specific route, Those Garmin Zumos are top notch.
But as with all GPS, they bow down to the traditional “map in the tank bag” when your just bombing around on random roads. Its really hard to see “the big picture” on a GPS, where the map can change resolutions instantly (rather than clicking, scrolling, and panning, with gloves on, ugh 🙄 ), depending on your eyesight.

perhaps you’d get more responses if you hadn’t posted in off-topic? Many don’t read this thread…

I was tempted … but it’s nothing to do with geocaching … just a friend with a motorcycle. But then again so far my question got 61 “views”, just not many people with an opinion.
