I have a bit of an announcement to make, not sure if it’s right to put it in the WGA forums or not except that the WGA has been a huge part of my life for…oh, maybe about  6 years now.  So, of course I need to share the news with you.

Last month one of our church schools in California called me to be a teacher at their schools.  After prayerful consideration I have felt that I should accept the call and move out there.  Part of me revolts a little at the thought of being a Californian, but I’m really excited to be starting off on a new adventure.  I am so grateful for all of the friends that I’ve made through the WGA and hope that we can still keep up online.  I have a feeling that I will still be lurking in the WGA forums because I will miss all of you!  I will have to uncheck the member box, though, I’m afraid.  I hope to run into WGA cachers from time to time, I know that we will be back in WI here and there.  And hey, if you ever make it out to the SF Bay Area, look me up and we’ll go caching together.

WOW! What an exciting (and a little scary) opportunity! Plenty of your favorite National Parks that way, too.

Let me know if they serve noodles in their chili. Lots of blessings, and we’ll be happy to hear from you in these most precious of threads!

Good luck on your new adventure! See you around! Congrats on the new job and the smiley-free map of your new home area!

Good luck with another of life’s great adventures 🙂 Thanks for all you’ve done to make the WGA a better organization.
And somebody has to spread more Packer love on the west coast…why not you! 😉

Exciting news!  Our dearest friends answered a call to a church in St. Helena many years back.  We try to visit every few years.  It’s tough “having” to visit Napa Valley.  Good luck!

I should add….when we did the CITO at Yosemite a few years back, a lot of the people there were from the greater Bay area.  They were very nice and welcomed us like old friends that weekend.  You’ll get to meet a whole bunch of new, creative folks once you settle in!

How soon is your move?  In time for the school year, I’d guess.

Best wishes, beccaday and family!  You have brought a lot to the WGA community.  Why uncheck the member box?  It’s not like there are out-of-state dues.  Check in from time to time and let us know how things are, caching-wise or otherwise.

Thank you all for your well-wishes.

And it’s so crazy, less than a week after I get there I found event GC77115 in the same town that I’ll be working in.  This is the book where my short story was published last year. What are the odds?!

I’ve been lucky to meet a couple of cachers from the Bay Area, you’ll be a very welcome addition to that community. Our loss is very much their gain! If our lives overlap, I hope we can meet up on the trails out here. Not sure where I’ll be compared to where/when you’ll be.
