My Prediction for 2005 …
The brand new geocaching family, “jjjtba” will find 1000 caches by the end of the year.Reason …
I placed a new cache that got approved Saturday evening, they found it at 4:30 the next morning, windchills below 0. I didn’t even think the darn cache was approved yet. This family found their first cache on 1/6/05 and already has 16 caches under their belt. Look out, when the warm weather hits!Go get’em “jjjtba”!
01/17/2005 at 11:42 pm #1737764I agree that it’s possible. I don’t know if they live in Racine, but they found three of my caches within the last week or so, so they definitely cover some ground.

01/23/2005 at 10:25 pm #1737766Best of luck..hope to meet up with you folks on the trails sometime.
02/06/2005 at 7:40 pm #1737767Watch out for them? I totally agree. I recently placed my Magic Squares cache and they should’ve been the first finders. The story on this one….I submitted the cache on a Saturday evening with the date hidden for the following Sunday. Everything was setup for the cache except I was doing some final maintenance on the cache container. I was caught off guard by the cache being approved very late that same evening, when normally caches I’ve placed take a day before being approved. I was debating going out at midnight to place the container, but figured people won’t see the listing this late at night and it will take them awhile to solve the puzzles. Therefore, I would get up early Sunday to put the container out. BOY WAS I WRONG! Team JJJTBA was out at 2:30 in the morning looking for my cache!!! Another cacher found the listing and was up until 3am solving the puzzles, which leads me to believe that geocachers are crazy people sometimes. Sleeping comes second to trying to be that first finder.
I met Team JJJTBA at a recent event. Very nice family. Glad to see that one of them is in the education profession too. Looking forward to meeting them again.

02/07/2005 at 4:04 pm #1737768They’ve got a good start at it now … 55 caches in their first month … still a bit low for my prediction, that would put them on target for ONLY 660 in a year. But then again, it’s winter; I’m sure they’ll kick it into high gear soon.
Come on JJJTBA … you can prove me right! Let’s see maybe some kind of incentive … If you make 1000 by 12/31/05, I’ll plant a new cache and name it after you.
Some one might need to remind me, since I’m feeling like 43 going on The Beast right now.

02/21/2005 at 2:59 am #1737771Well, I just checked their stats. They’ve already made it over 100 finds in a little less than 2 months. Summer vacation may be a busy caching season for them to get to a 1000 by the end of the year. Maybe get that cache placed early just in case.
02/21/2005 at 4:30 pm #1737772I’m trying to find a place where a Hwy JJ and a Jwy J and a Hwy A meet up, to place a TB hotel. So far I’ve found Hwy A. Boy, this is going to be hard.
02/21/2005 at 11:25 pm #1737773EnergySaver, in Racine County, there is a Cty A which intersects a Cty J a little south of Waterford/Rochester. In fact, there’s an undeveloped park listed at that intersection. No JJ or T, but if you travel a few miles south on J, you’ll hit Cty JB.
02/22/2005 at 10:24 am #1737774I do not think you are going to find 3 county highways of those names intersecting. Quite rare. However, there is A and JJ in Appleton, and JJ and J in Kaukauna.
02/22/2005 at 3:29 pm #1737775I hope you all know I’m kidding about Hwys that spell out their team name!
You are all so helpful … I can’t tell if your play along or really trying to find a spot for me.
In reality, I’m planning something entirely different .. I hope they’ll slow down enough, to at least give me to fall
02/23/2005 at 3:07 pm #1737776Well, perhaps you really do need to place such a cache.
