Yes I’ve mentioned it before briefly but this is the official announcement and teaser.
There is a new cache series in NorthEast Wisconsin that will be showing up in the coming week entitled:
Manitowoc’s WWII Submarines
This series focuses on the 28 submarines built by the Manitowoc Shipbuilding company for the US Navy during the latter part of WWII. There is a cache placed in honor of each of the 28 Subs built and the Final cache will be in honor of the USS Cobia (SS-245) which is currently a floating museum, docked here in Manitowoc next to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum Each of these caches contain a Secret Submarine Code which you will have to email to me in order to be able to get the coordinates for the final cache after completing all 28 caches. I will have nice themed prizes waiting for the first three cachers to complete the series. After that the Final cache will be open to all.
Each cache page will conatin some pictures and brief stories from the submarine’s service for our country. Each cache placed is unique in its own way. As per prior discussions here and input from the approvers, I have placed both regular and micro caches. Multi’s and singles. Easy and difficult. Urban and Wilderness. Underwater and up high. Hides for the hike and hides for the hunt. Historically Significant Locations and… well, not so historically significant locations. You get the idea.
I know these caches will be as challenging and fun for you to find as they were for me to place!

Just saw that the series is live now!
GRRR!!! The last week of school!!! It’ll have to wait for us, but we look forward to seeing others working on the series.

ThanksAll 28 Submarine Caches and the Final prize cache are active.
There is currently one person who has completed the series and is working on the final. Way to Go, really I’m not lost.
