Well after the Waukesha Janboree my wife has now got the bug to go caching again but she does not like or cache name. As you can see our name is now Team Outdoorsman. I originally cam up with the name because I like the outdoors and I wanted to start caching before my wife got into it. Now she wants to come up with a name for us together instead of our current one. Here is a little back round on us.
Wife: she likes to scrapbook, fishing, camping, and Hiking
Me: I like the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, I race Radio Controlled cars, and I am an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
What I am asking is if anyone has any good names for us.
One name that comes to mind is Stamper & Scout.Then the next question is how do we go about changing our name. I understand that this might be difficult or a pain in the but. This would be a one time deal for us. She just thinks the name is more me than us together. So any ideas would be great and appreciated. That is if we are allowed to change the name.
I don’t have a name suggestion, but changing your name on GC.com couldn’t be easier. Check to make sure the name you want does not exist by using the “Find another user” link. When you get a name, send a message to “[email protected]” requesting the change.
Think it used to be harder to change the name. Explain the situation if you have to, like you’re doing it to keep the marriage intact or whatever. 😉
I like Stamper and Scout. Will people not recognize you if you’re not Team Outdoorsman anymore? Your wife can always start her own account and go back and log under her own name any previous team finds that she was there for.

I dont think anyone will miss Team Outdoorsman. We havent meet a lot of people through caching and the people we have met know me as Kevin or Meg(wife). and some know me as Kevin 2.0. (long story). so changing the name wont affect people we know.

OOOHHH!!! How about a combination my wife thought of this when I was listing off all the names she said how about Scrappy Scout.
What do people think of that one? let us know.

Ok we settled on Scrappy Scout now how do we go about changing the name here or do i just make a new account?? I anyone can help that would be great.
For the WGA, look at the left menu, go to Your Account, then in there, under Basic Information, the first item (username) tells how to make the name change (needs to go through admins).
Did you get the name change on geocaching.com already?

no, I am working on that now I did send them a message asking them how to go about doing that to see if they can change it for me or what I have to do.

I might need luck from what I have been told it is hard to change your name.
