I haven’t looked for any (I haven’t seen them listed anywhere nearby), but I’ve been tossing around the idea of placing a few.

I’m curious….Are they worth it? Do people enjoy the challenge of looking for them? Or are they more of a pain in the butt?

Maintenance is actually a pain in the butt! Sometimes they’re tough to find yourself! And you do have to replace the log frequently.

In the proper place, they are great a great hide.

I currently have 5 nanno-caches in play. Folks have a love/hate relationship with them. Most love them! I get great feedback about 85% of the time. Some hate them and say they are not true caches. I think those people are entitled to thier oppinion but… 😈

I enjoy them, but yes they can be a pain to keep in place. Sometimes the big caches that just jump out at ya can get old. I don’t think nanos are as popular with those who are looking for 50-60 caches in day, because they can slow down the pace.

Bring `em on.. I’m ready for the challenge.

Nano in the woods though???? Ummmm I may just pass !! LOL

As for not being a true cache as mentioned above….I think they are. As long as you can get a log book into it, it’s fair game!!

I just launched a series called “Tanks for the nanos”. I wanted to get a few more “urban” caches going in the area and the guys and I dreamed up this idea. It gets you to drive all around & experience nearly every nook & cranny of the La Crosse area.

    Check them out!

I personally like the nanos. I found a couple of TyeDySky’s today. But I have to agree with Bunnyfufu. If it’s in the woods, why bother with a nano. Although having said that, one of my very favorite caches is a micro hidden in the woods by the Cheeseheads.

Yeah, these would be urban caches (well as urban as Stevens Point can get). There are some neat little parks where a regular sized cache wouldn’t work. An ol’ trusty match container would probably work, but I like the idea of nanos just to throw in something different. 🙂
