Here is an update on what is going on for this. The date has been set for Aug 28 at 2:00PM. My supervisor asked also if I could give him a little blurb about what is going to happen because he is going to get it put into the local papers in Palmiria, Whitewater, and Eagle. we could also get this published on GC.com as to open it up to all othe people looking to possible come to the event. We will alos be posting a come to the event o bathroom walls about a week before the event/ training/ schooling. If anyone has any ideas about what I should have in the little blurb let me know. Also if there is any way to get WGA pamphlats there to hand out and possible something to hand out to the big wigs that might be there explaining more about geocaching that would be great. I am currently working with one of the contact people to show a list of caches and locations on trails through Map source. She is going to overlay the information and put it on a map of all the trails in the Kettle Moraine State Forrest Southern Unit. I will keep people updated on any other informatin that i get and realy it to everyone.
Thanks-Kevin
Look forward to see everyone there!!!!!!
1 cache that is always found on the LCG could be a great example for this event in this area. Rebus & Tutt-Head, GCVBVB. This cache holds puzzles, traditionals, and even a virtual point. The only downfall to the cache is the length, and the time it takes to complete. But maybe beginning the cache with beginners, they might have the incentive to finish and complete it. Has there been a “starting point” or a location for the instruction to begin determined yet? Ottaawa? Scupernong? or the southern DNR office?
Yes the location is going to be at the Ottawa Lake ampatheater August 28th at 2:00pm. I dont know for sure but I think this is the first time that there is a geo 101 event here. I am not sure. I do know that the everyone will need a park sticker to get in.
