Had a newbie hit the “needs maintenance” on one of our caches because it was “musty”. Was tempted not to check it but did anyway… nothing really out of the ordinary but changed the log book and did a bit of drying out in the sun.
Wondering if others have had strange reasons for needing maintenance?

I don’t have any caches, but if I come along one that needs maintenance, I will do what I can to remedy it. If not I will drop an email to the owner. A little common sense goes a long way.
I had someone report maint. needed because they couldn’t find the first waypoint in a multi. Without giving it all away is is a magneto, and they have only 8 finds.
Nuff Said.
For those who might not have figured it out, you can make the “needs maintenance” attribute go away by posting an “owner maintenance” log to the cache.
