Sounds like a plan. I DO have a cpl in the workings. Just waiting for the OK from the respective Depts. 😉
05/06/2008 at 8:21 pm #1886367OK I submitted a new EC yesterday for the Grafton Lime Kiln Park. It’s not yet listed but I did do an interview with a reporter about Earthcaches as he heard the placement request get approved at a village meeting….does anyone get the “gmtoday” (Greater Milwaukee Today)? I guess it is put out by the Freeman. The article is supposed to run Thursday. If so I’d love a copy of the paper…unless I look like a total boob that is, in which case it wasn’t me who was interviewed but some other guy who just sounds like me on the phone to strangers who call looking for story quotes.
…oh also, as soon as this lists on GC I will be adopting this one out to Zemmy! I have enough listings 😉
05/07/2008 at 1:28 am #1886368You just love giving away your Lime Kiln Earthcaches. 😀

Well, I don’t have approval yet, but after talking to Lb7 about it, I’m going to submit one for the kettle in Lapham Peak.
I’m also going to work on one in Blue Mound SP this spring. With luck I might just have it going before the WGA event in May. No promises though.
Just thought I’d throw that out there so you all knew what I was planning for this spring. 😀
OK, I still have the kettle and Blue Mound on my to-do list, but just in time for the campout:
GC1C1AE “Stephens’ Falls”
05/08/2008 at 5:13 pm #1886370You sure know how to make me feel bad that I’m sitting this event out… 🙁
nah…I’m all good. I got my new listing up today as well (now owned by Zemmy). GC1C096

Doin’ the EC Happy Dance!!
Now if I can just get my stuff approved…hmmmm
05/13/2008 at 11:47 pm #1886372Got a new one up now, just across the border in Iowa. Not far from Decorah.
Flash! Malanaphy Falls for Geology! The GC number is:
GC1C7AZEnjoy! I’ll bet it’s absolutely breathtaking with wildflowers right now. They were just beginning to poke up when we were there a few weeks back.
05/14/2008 at 9:50 am #1886373Well it looks like the article finally printed in the Ozaukee-Washington Daily News…unfortunately I do not have a copy. I saw a teaser online though…
Lime Kiln Park ‘caches’ eye of Geographical Society of America
Lime Kiln Park has gone from being just a local recreational hotspot to a "officially-designated" site for an increasingly popular outdoor game based on locating points of geographical significance...and an oops as they called the Geological Society the Geographical Society. Oh well I made sure that the reporter understood there was NO container…and that in Geocaching there is never a BURIED CONTAINER.
