I thought i remember seeing someone say that some new permanant caches were going to be plaed before the campout. Is this true? I was asking because I ran a Pocket Query for the area and already saw a nice handfull of caches inside Hartmann Creek park and and the area itself has a great number of them. I just want my PQ to be as current and accurate as it can be, so if there are going to be new caches placed and published so i can plan on running a query before we leave and load it in. Thanks. Only 31 more days!

We were out scouting cache locations at Hartman Creek yesterday. There should be quite a few more caches to look for there in another month. Run your PQ again closer to the campout date.

Pat, check with Ralph as he may be going there on Sunday. Wouldn’t want placement issues.

Great trails. Lots of room for caches. We’ll let Ralph know what we have in mind, but he’s welcome to the hillier spots! (We’re taking what we said was a “perfect hiding place for a zuma cache”. 😈 )

so just out of curiousity – is there still snow on the ground at HC? Praying for a blast of sunshine and heat after the next few days passover! ugh! (We went on 4/2 and it was knee deep in some places and camp sites were inaccessible. Wondering what it looks like now 2 wks later.)

Hartman Creek was free of snow except for patches in the shade left over from Saturday, and the piles from the winter, like in front of the road that goes to the beach, and the one to the last two loops of the campground. We had no trouble hiking anywhere, at least as far as snow goes.

After this next round of weather… who knows?

Here’s a pic I took off our deck at 6:40 pm tonight. We live about 4 miles east of Hartman Creek State Park. There’s snow on the ground again now!

I hear tell there are going to be no more sudoku puzzles out by sandlanders. Other wise known as Ken-Ken puzzles. Oh boy no more sudoku’s cant wait.

hmmmm, wondering if we’ll all fit on that deck in a month… looks mighty inviting and the snow will surely be melted off of that part 😀

I can hear us all yelling now “Gram and Gramps are cooking Johnsonville brats….!”

I’m thinking that RT10 and RT3 (or4) might enjoy a visit with Gram and Gramps. I wonder if Gramps gives tours of his workroom where he makes up those fantastic cache containers… 😉

            Yup, I’d love to!

Well RT10 would LOVE that! RT3 (will be RT4 by then) just loves everyone, so he’d tag along and talk your ear off!
