Hello! We were introduced to geocaching by some friends while at the Rosebowl last week. From LA, we traveled to Hawaii, where we have been caching up a storm. We are hooked! Looking forward to continuing on when we get home. We imagine it will be quite a bit different than here in Hawaii, where there is a frequently visited cache every quarter mile!

01/07/2011 at 5:46 pm #1941614Welcome, yes, I was in Hawaii summer before last and can attest to the difference in caches. My friend and I, traveling up the Pali highway, would say, “I’d hate to travel this in winter,” then do the duh headslap. Have fun and bring some of the sunshine back with you!
01/07/2011 at 6:57 pm #1941615I’m still bummed about that Badger loss. We were talking about it today at lunch, Big 10: 3 and 5 in bowl games this year. Wish Wisconsin could have made it 4 and 4. Me, a Gopher Alumni, no help from us…
Isn’t this activity a riot! Some days when I’m off of Washington Island caching with Mrs. Northwoods, I want to skip meals to go on a search for another. Thank goodness she has more sense!
01/07/2011 at 7:27 pm #1941616Welcome to geocaching and the WGA!
Don’t let the cold keep you inside when you get back, my kiddos and I have been discovering the joys of winter caching in and around the Madison area. Hope to see you on the trails soon! 🙂
01/07/2011 at 9:06 pm #1941617Hey, it’s another cacher in the club–welcome to geocaching and WGA! I have cached neither in Madison nor in Hawaii, but at least I have never been to the Hawaii. Madison should be a destination for me for a day of caching. Maybe I will see you around then!

01/13/2011 at 6:53 pm #1941623Thanks for the welcome, everyone! We got home last night, and brought back a geocoin destined for Germany – figured WI was a heck of a lot closer than Hawaii! I need to find a good WI cache to drop it in. Anyone heading across the pond soon?
