Garmin is coming out with a new hand held later in 2008. The new unit has a touch screen and has paperless caching capabilities. Another nice feature is you can send wpts. to other hand helds with the same feature. It is called the “Oregon” You can check it out at this url. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us
I was just surfing the Garmin site an hour ago…I still think the Colorado is nifty but don’t know if the bugs are all out. I guess I’ll be waiting again.
Most of the Colorado bugs are worked out, but there are still some there. A lot of the bugs have been fixed with the beta firmware 2.54.
The Oregon is going to be just like the Colorado but as stated it will have the touch screen.

Do you have one or know someone who does….I’d like to pick one up if it’s a decent debugged unit. I want it for its Cache page feature…I really don’t need a touchscreen unit.
Yes, we bought the 400t and are very pleased with the unit. The paperless caching is great. You can see the cache description, the last five logs for the cache and the hint all on the unit. I personally would recommend this unit. With the last update you can also enter text for each cache that you find and it will load directly to the cache page.
This is a wiki page that will answer most of your questions about the Colorado. http://garmincolorado.wikispaces.com/

Thanks. I think I’ll put an order in and start rockin’ and rollin’.
