With $ on the line for pics….I don’t foresee many of these making their way into caches…at least until January and even then maybe 30% of these will get released.
10/10/2012 at 2:17 pm #1964629Anyone have any contacts with Fort Knox. I just need a few seconds to snap a picture of my coin with the rest of the gold in the free world! 😆
10/10/2012 at 4:29 pm #1964630It never ceases to amaze me how quickly we will volunteer to become tools of the modern marketplace when carrots like this are dangled in front of us. Before I get flamed I’ll admit that I as guilty and the rest an as much as most of what I see, say and do is influenced by media. But, isn’t it also ironic (and frankly irritating) that cache creators cannot publish “cause related caches” touching subjects like recycling, homelessness or animal cruelty, devoid of corporate connections, that might actually have a positive social impact on the community while corporations can be so blatant in their association with Groundspeak as to promote book sales by stretching the limits of the sport?
I hope very few of these put on any miles, as Lostby7 portends, and the plan backfires on the publisher to some extent. I hope most of you simply add these to your collections and they stay within 10 miles of where they started out.

TRUE
Bottom line: IT’S FREE!
First geowhatever since I started. Don’t “plan” on spending money on any more. I released 3 when I started and two of the 3 vanished almost immediately. I do enjoy this way of watching a coin/tag travel to areas that interest me “WHEN” the grabber reads the mission and helps it achieve it.
Mine, if it follows it’s mission, hopefully will travel to some interesting Library or Book Store caches. And this time coins that my wife spent good money on and gave me as a gift will not be a factor, in fact she chose the mission and with a little luck, it will discover an interesting old book store or magnificent small town library.
