Team Badger announces a Cache Event at New Glarus Woods State Park and the Sugar River Trail –
    Lat: 42 47.248 Lon: 089 37.804
    Difficulty – 1 Terrain – 1
    GCJQBY http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=e360928e-eb8d-4825-8df1-8c4ba64fc2dd

    When – Saturday, July 10, 2004
    Time – 9 AM to 3 PM
What – Another cache get together. Come and hunt temporary caches.
Where – Follow your GPSr to New Glarus Woods State Park

The coordinates listed above will bring you to the parking area for the Group Shelter, which will serve as ‘home plate’ for a challenging and fun-filled day of hunting.
We plan to hide 7 or so within the park and a similar number on the Trail, and maybe 7 more at mystery locations in southern Green County. We look forward to hearing more caching tales – and be sure to bring Travel Bugs to exchange and move along. Feel free to bring family, friends and children. We will have several ADA accessible caches to be found.

Our tentative plans include a lunch (BYO) between 12 to 2 and then retrieval of the caches starting around 3 PM.

Wow…. I’m thinking that Amy and I are probably “in” for this event. Looks like fun.

If the WGA Picnic is held in August it looks like we won’t be able to make it any weekend. Just how things work – our summers book up pretty quickly. However, July 10th is open for us….

How do you guys want people to respond officially? We’ll know more in another week or two…

Just seeing Paddlers response it reminded me that I can check out the river conditions of the Sugar River on my kayak before hand and leave word on the paddling conditions if anyone plans a side excursion.
Might even be a cache on it somewhere by the event.

We cannot work this great event into our schedule. Disney World awaits our clan

Looks like the Sugar River is pretty high right now…

    We’ll bring the canoe!

Hey Beast do you think I can fit in one of your suitcases? It has been to long since we have been there.

Never been to Disney world but we will try real hard to make it at least for the morning. This will be our first “official” Geo-event.

Happy, but sorry, to say i’ll be somewhere in the north west sector of the state that day. Wish you all fair weather and following winds.

We are working on placing a handle on top of a used yellow bus. I hope it makes it through the bagage check.

Again, this is one of my on call weekends (I have rotten luck!) so I can only at this point say, “maybe.”

I previously posed a note on the cache page…I’ve been out of town and didn’t know this site was up…rhymes w/ duh! There is a link notice on the page. Anyhow, I’m looking forward to helping w/ this event. One never knows what will happen when Team Badger has a plan! Not to mention the splitting up of the Sisters Of Geocaching! (It’s okay Sis…we’re only apart on paper…we don’t mind if a few Flatlanders sneak in… besides, I think by now the rest of the Cheesers think you’re one of us anyhow! …)

    John,
Bob will be home Friday night and I’m sure he will call you on Saturday. We will help in any way we can. It will be a lot of fun.

Count all 4 ecorangers in on this one. Haven’t been to this neck of the woods yet for geocaching. Earth Angel
