Hello All, Thought it was about time to introduce myself. My wife, kids and I call ourselves ‘Jaango’. We began geocaching last spring after hearing about the fun our relatives in Canada were having. So far we have been able to geocache in Wisconsin and California. The kids love finding Travel Bugs and following their travels online. I like caching because I am able to show the kids that you can actually use the stuff you learn in school in real-life. Therefore I love Earth Caches; learning stuff, while having fun outdoors -the ultimate family activity.

One question to start, are there any Wisconsin-based stores to purchase geocaching supplies – TB, coins etc?

    Thanks, Janngo

Welcome to the group. Your travels around this wonderful state we call home will take you down some wonderful backroads & towns & scenery you never might not have seen if it werent for caching.

Welcome…there are lots of nice EarthCaches here to find and a section here on the boards to read about EC topics.

    Welcome to the hobby!
I don’t think that there are any “brick and morter” stores that sell geocaching merchandise in Wisconsin. There are a lot of online stores. We’ve ordered from quite a few of them at one time or another and had no problems with any of them, so it’ would be hard to recommend one over another.

Welcome to the WGA and the fun world of caching. As TBC, there are no brick and mortar stores that I know of, but ya can get anything ya want online.

Welcome, jaango! REI recently started carrying some geocaching items, like TBs, containers. Don’t know what’s in the stores or what’s just online, but there’s an REI store near West Towne in Madison.

Welcome to the great adventure…for you will surely have more than a few 😀 As for supplies, I get most of my cache containers like ammo boxes and match holders, and other supplies, etc. at Fleet Farm…or, more than likely in your part of the state, Farm and Fleet. And, of coarse, you can find just about anything online. Have fun 😀
