I just noticed that last weekend an old WGA member, Thraxman, found his first cache in nearly four years:

Thraxman (Joe) helped with the planning of many of the early WGA events, served as the first WGA treasurer (I think he created the ammo box donation can, which he then locked to a table at High Cliff and lost the key :)), and has one of the scariest profile pics on geocaching.com.

    Welcome back Joe!

We have missed Joe as well, Trudy & I have been to all three of his caches. One is now archived but the other two have been active all along. They are both classic caches showing the creativity we see so little of today. GC1996 Cato Car Crash Cache and GC1DAC Moscow, We Have A Problem should both be on the required finding list for new cache placers.

Welcome back Joe. We hope to see you at the Camp out. T&tb

    Hey… thanks for the warm re-welcome 🙂

Dusted off the old Magellan. Oddly, it rattles when i shake it, probably not a good sign. But it works, so I went out and hit 6 local caches over two days. I’m pacing myself. Re-training, sorta. Had a great time, and plan on hitting more next weekend.

I’m not certain about the camp-out. I’m usually off Sundays and Mondays these days, but I have some control over that. Would love to go, at least for the main day. We’ll see…

Man, everyone os so far ahead of me now. Looks like I have some caching to do if I ever want to catch up 😳
