Wonder what the opencaching forum is like?
Nothing like ours. They don’t have thread stealers.
Interesting, I thought it was a joke and judgement of a specific type of cache placement. I didn’t realize you actually tried to find a cache placement spot!
it really was a joke to start with except the part about placing a cache. i did go to the end of 1 cachers trail and placed a container of my own. i tried to have this cache posted and i recieved notification that it was dnr property and i needed permission. this area already had 345 caches on it and i still needed permission to add 1 more?
The area already had 354 caches and it needed another? 😆
All you have to do is file for permission. It’s not hard
ok it was only 135, i exagerate. but it is 11.89 miles of caches without an opening. overkill?

Slight correction: It is a notification form – not a request for permission.

Thanks for the correction.

It is simply filling out the necessary notification form and submitting to proper DNR office that manages the specific area… for each cache placed along the trail.
I filled out 7 separate forms for the ones I placed on the Hank Aaron trail. And before placing I emailed the 2 other cache owners who had previously placed caches along the trail asking if they had plans to extend their hides along the section I planned on placing my caches.
