Does anyone know of a old GPS junk yard? On a recent flight to Montana the airlines smashed the screen on my explorist 100. It would seem that they are not responsible for lost or damaged luggage. I contacted Magellan and even though they still make and sell the 100, they no longer repair or service them, nor will they sell me a replacement LCD. I have gotten a new GPS, from Garmin this time, so I’m just looking for a backup. Thanks. MrPutz
If you find a place that sells them, please clue me in. I’ve had a cracked LCD cover on my Meridian for over a year now (bike accident) and I can’t seem to find a replacement. Magellan still has not responded to the 4 emails I’ve sent. There’s that great customer service I always speak of. 😯
Amazing! While I already had a low opinion of Magellan’s customer service, refusing to repair or provide parts for units still on the market is really beyond the pale. This might be a new low for customer service quality. I would suggest that you replace this with some other brand (ANY other brand.)
