I forgot to mention in my earlier post about the website upgrade that there will be a one time opportunity during the upgrade to change your WGA username. Normally there is no way for us to change these usernames once someone makes a post (this is less true on the new site), but it is easy for me to do during the conversion process.
So if you don’t like the username you are posting under, either let me know by email (jeremy
wi-geocaching.com) or just post your request here. Note that all your old forum posts will show the new username when they are brought over. If someone quoted you (“Originally posted by xxxxx:”), then these quotes will still show your old username but I think we can all live with this. Personally I am changing my username: jvechinski -> Jeremy. (Which is what I wanted on geocaching.com but that Irish punk had already taken it.
)Note that the new site can also (optionally) display your geocaching.com username in addition to your WGA username. This makes things less confusing when someone has a username that doesn’t match what they use on geocaching.com, or when multiple people from one “team” post in the forums.
For example on the new site my tagline information (to the left of all the posts I make) looks like:
Jeremy
jvechinski

But many times I seen my name like….

PcfrogHardly do I ever see it as pcfrog. So, if people want to cap-it I would rather it be PCFrog.
I very do much appreciate the comment.
05/18/2006 at 2:59 am #1739164Seeing as I’m the only one on the team that posts here, I’d like my UserName to say Mama Fishcacher.
FWIW, I’d totally let the 9yr old post here if he wanted though.

How about “Mother of All LightningBugs”?
