Bravo! Clean, professional, clear. I was always (and still am) a fan of the ‘g’ but I’m very happy with this outcome. Thanks, board and whoever else deserves it for arriving at this decision and seeing this through. Well done.
When can I start putting it on my cache pages?
This is now the official logo, so feel free to update your cache pages to replace the old logo if you wish.

Sweet, but where is the new logo .gif. I can’t find it where I thought the old ones were. In fact, I can’t find the old ones. Thought they were in the wiki.

The old ones are here in the Wiki:
http://wi-geocaching.com/modules.php?name=Wiki&pagename=Help%20Spread%20The%20Word
If someone can think of a good two or three word title (Cache Page Logos?), I’ll throw a link to this Wiki page in the Main Menu block as people seem to have a lot of trouble finding it.
And I’ll discuss with the Board whether we want to provide new logo gifs for cache pages before the website itself is switched over. Note we will probably be changing the existing gifs to be the new logo, so cache owners will not have touch their cache pages to get the new logo.

I’m busy/lazy so I need to ask. Will the old cache page banners eventually be changed to the new logo?
01/08/2009 at 8:51 pm #1891189Perhpaps it wouldn’t seem like the new logo adoption is in question if the old logo wasnt still on top of the page reminding everyone to compare them.
Regrading the new logo, I think its great, it just needs a little more cowbell.

Maybe too busy/lazy to read whole posts too? 😉 🙂 I’ve bolded the important part you want to read…

Seriously, I’m fairly confident the old cache page banner gifs will go to the new logo, but I’m not sure when.
