Why don’t you come down to a Metro Milwaukee breakfast or another event cache? Then you can meet some of us in person and someone can give you some pointers on your GPS, AND have some waffles to boot!
Next weekend is the big WGA campout in Waupaca. Not sure if it’s too late to register for that or maybe you could come for a day.
WGA Board Wake up! … Can someone still come?

05/07/2004 at 7:26 pm #1750303The next breakfast is June 19th in Kenosha. The cache page is here. (I promise I’ll be filling in more info soon!)
Come on down and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of people willing to give you a hand getting started. There are several caches in that park which are not too difficult for a beginner, plus there will be some temporary caches available as well. Hope to see you there!
05/07/2004 at 8:32 pm #1750304If you will meet us at the statue mentioned in Another Wisconsin First [GCA803] at 9:00 Saturday morning. We will happily give you a mini-lesson in geocaching and GPS use.
05/07/2004 at 8:52 pm #1750305BTW any other neophites, novices, newbies, beginners or even old pros in the area are welcome to join us too.

Managed to get some thigns loaded in, just need to figure out what everything means now. LOL Sure do appreciate the help!! June 19th sounds fun too, but helping a fellow Newbee with moving that weekend.

05/08/2004 at 9:11 pm #1750309Well we were there at 2 minutes before the designated time and found Fu waiting for us. With her current level of understanding and enthusiasm, it won’t be long before she is logging finds from all around the world.
05/09/2004 at 6:27 pm #1750310Thanks for the vote fo confidence. Felt like I knew A LOT more once I knew what the numbers for “Heading” stood for. LOL It’s like my “mini maglite” flashlite went off in my head! Had a great time you 2. Thanks for the lesson!
