We have a newbie – jstream – blazing a hot trail folks, 72 caches in 30 days.

Watch this one for great accomplishments.

I know, this is not a competitive sport.
But, keep on caching jstream. We are all cheering you on.

Thanks for the recognition! Actually, I hadn’t thought about the first 100 until I got an email from wzbt03 about it. That got me going. I will probably slow down after, the cost of gas is killing me. Last nights snow won’t help much either. But I’m really using this game for rehab of my back and leg, and it appears to be working! It feels great to be able to walk on rough ground again and not just on sidewalks. Thanks again.

p.s. I can’t wait to get to Las Vegas next week to do some warm, desert caching! 😛

You can’t blame me for your fast start . You were already on your way.
While geocaching is not a competitive sport, it does highlight numbers quite a bit. If the landmark numbers are your incentive to go out and visit everyones caches, then they have served a purpose.

I enjoy placing caches as much as finding them. Geography will always give us the best caches and those we all remember but they all can serve a purpose.

A couple of weeks from now I am going to place a couple of caches in Jamaica – care to make these your next ones?

Wouldn’t that be a good excuse for several return trips a year?

    Hey Gang,

It looks as though my 100th will be scored next week in Vegas. I would really rather do it here at home, but at the same time, I don’t want to stop while I’m out there. So I’ll probably just keep going.
    What would you guys do?

I’d go 76 miles south into the Mojave desert (1:40 minute drive) to bag the Rock Springs Cache – placed by my brother & I on an off-road trip. See http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?ID=12734

This is a target rich environment!
