Yet, as redrusty demonstrated, there are opposing quotes in the same vein. My original question stands. Please demonstrate a legitimate source stating that 98% of climatologists are in support of the theory that global warming is an anthropogenic phenomenon. I asked one simple question. Please answer it.

I think the quote from the Royal Meteorological Society is kind of amusing when you start looking at the actual history of the global warming theory.

You’re quoting from the Neolibertarian Network? I think that speaks for itself. I thought we were talking science, not politics.

Global Warming Hoax: As I said, neolibertarian network

Middleburry.com: Yes, well if a town of 8000 people in Vermont say everything is OK well then, we can all relax

Moonbattery.com: Uhm, I haven’t seen that many John McCain ads since I watched FoxNews last night. Definitely not politically motivated. 😯

The National Post: I fair rebuttal to my post from The New York Times. 😀

Your wiki list, and we all trust wiki right?: This is a quote from the beginning of your list:

This article lists scientists and former scientists who have stated disagreement with one or more of the principal conclusions of the mainstream scientific opinion on global warming. It should not be interpreted as a list of global warming skeptics. Inclusion is based on specific criteria that do not necessarily reflect skepticism toward climate change caused by human activity, or that such change could be large enough to be harmful.

The first man on your list. And this is a direct quote from his paper titled “A cool look at global warming”

Human activity in burning coal and oil, and clearing forests has, over the past century, put an enormous amount of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere where it has combined with water vapor and other gaseslike methane to increase global temperatures in an unprecedented way.The evidence that this has occurred is clear-cut, and the increase intemperature will have, according to our computer models, dire effects onthe planet, causing the melting of polar ice, the raising of sea levels, droughts, floods, storms and desertification. We must put an end to thisprospect by changing our way of life lest catastrophe strike us. It mayalready be too late.

I urge you to look up the names on your list, and read what they have said about global warming/climate change.

Were talking science here, do you have any scientist on your side. Any verifiable ones I mean. Any that are part of a global consensus? I’m still looking to back up my 98%statement, and so far I can’t. But it is clear from the G8 summit, that the world governments agree there is an issue, and everyone of them have taken steps to correct the issue. It’s a shame our own government/country, the biggest polluter, is not getting involved. This as the whole world laughs at us.

“It’s a shame our own government/country, the biggest polluter, is not getting involved. This as the whole world laughs at us.”

as opposed to china and india?

neolibertarian network? please show me a site on the net that points to this, as i am having trouble finding it.

if you read the first paragraph of the site it states:

“Arguments based on science, news, and common sense. This site is non-partisan and non-religious based. In fact we fight the new faith based religion of global warming. Don’t keep arguing the subject, just tell them to go to GlobalWarmingHoax.com!”

as for the mccain ads-i only saw one on that website……..too many?
understand that i do not endorse mccain.

as for the middlebury column- i was pointing to the facts stated in the article.

“This as the whole world laughs at us.”

where did this come from?????? millions, and i mean millions of people trying to get into this country (legally and otherwise) are laughing?

listen, this is still the greatest country on the planet. there’s more opportunity here than anywhere else on the planet. anywhere. granted, it’s not a perfect setup, there’s room for improvement.

the whole world laughing at us thing should give pause for reflection…..the whole world takes us very seriously…….hence our worldwide subsidy of the rest of the planet. (nearly, that is)

    correction, correction…………..
    i found the neolibertarian network:

    http://incite1.blogspot.com/2005/03/neolibertarian-network.html

“The next question you might ask is, what is the Neolibertarian Network? The answer, at least as of right now, is: not much. It’s an association of thirteen likeminded blogs (so far) organized by QandO. The network serves as a central point for syndication feed aggregation, and they also plan to create a period publication.”

otherwise, the term “neolibertarian” is listed in the wiki—i hope you weren’t attempting to trust the almighty wiki……………..

Strange, this is the link they have posted on thier page: The Neolibertarian Network. Lots more than 13 likeminded blogs. Although some of the blogstarters really intrigued me. Ones titled “Propaganda Machine”, “The wright wing”, “The Right Nation” and my personal favorite… “The Neo-communist”.

In case you missed the link. It’s at the very bottom of the page you provided. There is a box marked “related sites”. In that box is a picture labled “The Neolibertarian Network”, which takes you to the link I have provided.

Again, a persons personal opinion with no scientific fact.

“Arguments based on science, news, and common sense. This site is non-partisan and non-religious based. In fact we fight the new faith based religion of global warming. Don’t keep arguing the subject, just tell them to go to GlobalWarmingHoax.com!”

Yet they’re sponsored by John McCain, Link to a clearly right-wing biased web-site and provide no scientific evidence, just personal opinion.

“This as the whole world laughs at us.”

I agree with you 100%. We are without a doubt the greatest country on the planet. Yet with only 20% of the worlds population, we produce 25% of it’s polution. And since we are the greatest country on the planet, and have always lead the way in modern times, why are we not leading the way now?

Not sure where that 20 (20%) came from.

US population is less than 5% of the worlds population, but we produce 25% of the polution.

Anyway, redrusty is right, back to cachin’, and back to topic, “News of the Green”.
