What is a night cache?
A night cache is one which generally cannot be done in the daylight. They are usually based on finding small reflectors along a trail with a flashlight; very often these are multi-caches.
Glow in the Dark 2 ( GCH1QB ) is such a cache.
And…should you find yourself in San Diego The Forbidden Forest ( GCME1Z ) can’t be beat.
Thank for the info and choosing that example; right near my house.
❗
For me a night cache is any cache I go after once the sun has set 😉 ok ok but I just couldn’t help it

I like to call those early morning caches…I usually start before sunup…..
I thought night caches were the ones you had to run out and get at night if you want the FTF. 😆
A night cache is one hunted in the two and a half hours between the time Hugh Foundit hangs it up for the night and the time Uncle_Fun stumbles out of bed and into the woods on his way to work. I’ve come to the realization that the only FTF I even have a shot at anymore are the ones posted between 1:30am and 4:00am.
The night caches at the campout can be even more creative. Besides reflectors, people use lights, sounds, glow-in-the-dark stuff….
I love being out in the woods at night! 😈
