Every year I shoot fireworks at Washington Park. For the past many years I go caching all night after I done with my paperwork, etc.
This year I thought that it would be fun to see if anyone would like to join me for this all night adventure. It is so quiet and there are no muggles to deal with. Please let me know if you are available. The more the merrier!!

06/08/2012 at 3:18 pm #1961800Yes I am. Sorry I did not include that in my post.
Last year, the only thing I had to worry about was those crazy bread truck drivers. They come shooting out of the alleys on 2 wheels!!
I just kind of “wander” and pick up the urban caches as most of the parks are closed and probably better done in the daylight. Those that along the various waterways are pretty cool. I did the Harley Davidson one last year.
06/08/2012 at 7:28 pm #1961801Sooo… that’s the best time to do the Harley cache! This sounds like an interesting venture… are you considering a nighttime adventure in the city again? BTW I live in Washington Heights… a stone’s throw away from the park.

There was only me and that statue! Yes, I am looking for person(s) to join me for some exploring Milwaukee after dark!
You probably have seen my handy work on the 4th then over the past 15+ years. We shoot all of the Milwaukee County parks and almost all of the other shows in the region. I started shooting the shows out there at Gordon Park, but after 2-3 years moved to Washington Park.
06/08/2012 at 11:44 pm #1961803I like the idea of night caching… I’m in.
And yes I’ve seen and heard the fireworks… though never actually went over to the park. Harder to see these days… we have 2 huge maple trees blocking the view.
06/09/2012 at 12:15 am #1961804Cool. . .Still have more “seats” available for a group night of caching. Shooting firework shows is my way relaxing and doing something different that my JOB. Caching all night afterwards is my way of winding down after blowing stuff up to entertain hundreds of people in the “hood”. π
06/09/2012 at 1:11 pm #1961805I’ll be on the Blue Ridge Parkway π , thinking maybe you should take some of that gunpowder and blow up that rock wall by your Rolling Star hide. π Then again it wouldn’t be sooo much fun!
Forget that idea, That was a great hide! πHave fun in the city!!!!
06/11/2012 at 3:24 am #1961806Nice thought, but the gunpowder, Cu, Mg, Al, etc look better up high in the sky and burning bright!
I would image that those that have left DNF’s on that cache would agree with you though. π
I even know what a FRED is on a train.

I like that cache also. I just had a cacher tell me what an evil person I was for placing that one. πΏ
