Met up with No Hands at the Pizza lunch and found that he was 33 away from 100! 😉 Well, we needed to fix that. Off we went to caches in the area until it was dark, cold and he was only 7 from 100. 🙄 At this point we call in reinforcements; AuntieNae and Tapps Sr. they whisk him away and shortly thereafter he’s past 100. Way to go, the tag team method works!
Congrats ❗01/25/2009 at 5:01 am #1901010Way to go Guy!!!! Glad I was able to be there for some of them in the past!!! Keep on having Fun!
01/25/2009 at 5:01 am #1901011Congrats Kevin. I know it took a while but you have had a busy year, hopefully you get the next 100 faster than the first 100.
01/25/2009 at 5:32 am #1901012Congratulations…hey, this means you got almost 1/3 of your finds just today! Great to have friends to help you reach the mark!
01/25/2009 at 10:18 am #1901013Congrats! Are the outer extremities thawed out yet? 😯
01/25/2009 at 1:24 pm #1901014Nice Job, No Hands!
01/25/2009 at 7:18 pm #1901015I have never seen anyone leap a snowbank like I did when he went for the “In remembrance cache”.
It took The Tapps some time last night to thaw out but he kept saying “I should have taken him to such and such cache” so I would say fun was had by all.
Glad we could help you reach that milestone!
I really think the geo-high kicked in so he probably did not notice how cold he was until he got home01/25/2009 at 9:00 pm #1901016What?? Hands free, and only 100!
Well, it’s a start …….
See you at the bar when you hit 1000.
01/26/2009 at 12:34 am #1901017This was a monumental weekend for Kevin. Everyone should know that he also got his first ftf on Friday. And as my son-inlaw Doug of OPPS5 would say “all of this for a guy with no hands”. We finally explained what this poor amputee geocachers name meant, but the laughs will never cease.
01/26/2009 at 4:39 pm #1901018And to think I was going to skip the Janboree because of the cold. I have to really thank GR8 EYES, The Tapps, and AuntieNae for helping reach my goal of 100 finds this year… Now I have to aim higher.
The morning started with a thought of “it’s too cold to go outside”… The day ended with me outside in the below zero temps seeking caches in the dark until 7 something. Either I was too numb by the end to realize it was cold or I was just havin’ to much fun! Pretty sure it was the latter because in between caches I had time to thaw out.
*The best part of the day was making new friends (and reaching 100)
*The worst part of the day was putting back the logs into a micro
container with the cold wind nipping at my fingers! The geo stories keeping getting more and more interesting!
01/27/2009 at 8:57 pm #1901019Have you recovered from that burst of caching yet? Now take a break and then go for the next 100! Congratulations!
01/27/2009 at 9:03 pm #1901020I have. I am hoping to get another 20 this weekend in the wautoma area.
01/27/2009 at 9:13 pm #1901021Wow! I guess I just always assumed that you were in the +1K club. Congrats on the milestone!
01/27/2009 at 9:22 pm #1901022Looks like you just set my new goal for the year.
01/27/2009 at 10:41 pm #1901023Kevin
You can always jopin up with us and grab some. We only have another 777 before 9/13 for one of our goals this year (2000 within our second year of caching). We still have some in your area that we haven’t found -
