Anyone else not getting email notifications for their owned caches or watched caches when a new log is posted to them? Since the update last week I havent gotten any notifications to my owned caches, and when I checked on them on GC.com, they all had tons of visits and finds. So something happened in the update or they’re not doing that anymore like they use to. Anyone know whats up with that? thanks as always. (i’m still getting publishing notifications of caches published in my area, so I dont know what the issue is)

Just make sure you cleanup all that litter. 😉
12/23/2010 at 8:23 pm #1940742I had a couple days of lost owner and new cache notifications lost in the shuffle. I guess we have to get used to that; it’s happened before. The new hide ones are tougher to take if you want a shot at an FTF for your monthly fix. 😉 Found out about the new one in Little Chute via the grapevine just after I drove by the area. 😯 Amazingly though, that one had three co-FTF finders, so there are some great coping skills in spite of .com’s bobbles. 8)
12/24/2010 at 4:46 pm #1940743I’ve also had lost owner and publish notifications. I didn’t even know my own cache had published! I don’t know which email servers anyone is using, but I use Mozilla/Gmail. I had to log into Gmail, which took forever, as I’ve been using Mozilla for retrieval for so long, I forgot the password. I DID find a couple of the owner logs there in the spam folder. None of the publish emails though. 🙄
12/24/2010 at 6:05 pm #1940744Ahaaa, I use gmail so per prior posts I checked my spam folder and voila!, there are all my notifications! They never went to spam before, that’s odd.
12/25/2010 at 12:19 am #1940745Oops, double post. Sorry all.
01/12/2011 at 2:39 am #1940746I still don’t get my notifications of finds on my caches but get notifications of new caches! Doesn’t make sense as they both go to the same e-mail address. I’ve written to them and they say they were sent, but not even in my junk folder! What’s going on????
01/12/2011 at 6:09 pm #1940747Mine seem to be working. I’ve been getting notifications of people doin my breakwater caches even though they’re disabled. Brave bunch!

I’m not sure where to go with this threadwise… But…
If a cache is seasonally disabled for safety reasons, (which “Match Head” is for obvious reasons), if people ignore safety disablements and put themselves in a predicament that requires emergency services, could that cast a negative light on our hobby among the public service departments???
Just a thought 🙄 -
