Last year when Rhonda & I got married, we cached all the way from here to Key West, returning through South Carolina, & North Carolina.

So I went through the “trouble” of marking waypoints In Mapsource from here to there and back, so I could create a filter of geocaches not far from the interstate. We used GSAK to do this, which happens to be picky about the format of the lat/long which is input. So I did a lot of manual work on it which couldn’t be done by Excel.

Anyway, I discovered this file when cleaning out my computer, and thought maybe someone may have some use for it.

So, if you are taking a trip, and want to cache from here to Florida, I can save you part of the hassle of not having to recreate the filter.

Or if you want to know how to do it yourself but are going some place else instead.. I can help if you want.

Email us if you would like the spreadsheet it is in.

Hey Tony, why not put the file on a disc, that way if anyone would like it for future use you could load it back on the puter and email it to them. In fact, wouldn’t it be cool if we all did that. If after planning our trips, we posted our basic route on here. Then others who plan to travel the same directions could get the files.

Had I seen this last year I could have offered up Beloit to Dallas and Beloit to South Carolina. Also, my daughter is moving to San Diego this month. I’m supposed to be driving her out there, so I’ll have that file (anyone already have it?… …).

Good Idea. Better yet, When I get the chance I’ll post it on my website for all to download. Maybe if we get a bunch together we could have a downloads section on the website, along side the free wireless access waypoints.

We have the GPS, now all we need is the tall ship!
