We’re heading up north to help with the family cottage this weekend (as are the TE folks). So I check the forecast for the weekend and Saturday is predicting, and I quote….
“rain/snow showers.” Yuppers.
That’s for Ironwood MI.
10/06/2009 at 8:14 pm #1914951Glad it is up there and not down here. I am hoping for one more warm-up before the snow flies.

make sure to run down to the pamida and stock up! :> Actually, not even sure that exists anymore but it used to be a reason to drive up there when I was growing up.
10/06/2009 at 10:26 pm #1914953Nearest Pamida that I know of from me is in Oconto. I liked that store too. I’ve been to the one in Iron River, MI and Manistique, MI
10/07/2009 at 12:20 am #1914954I think it’s still there. Cathy? Isn’t it?
Used to be one in Sparta. Now it’s The Pig.
10/07/2009 at 1:46 am #1914955Pamida in Ironwood is closed but we still have one in Eagle River. Wittenburg has one too.
Our forecast is sunny but high of 48…
Yep would have been nice to have it done in Sept… but life happens.
TE10/07/2009 at 2:58 am #1914956Ashland’s Pamida is up and running. and don’t forget to stop by clam lake and cozy valley for my new caches 😉
10/07/2009 at 3:02 am #1914957Pamida in Adams is a shopping destination for area folks . Nothing like it for 25-30 miles in any direction. Another Pamida is east of Wautoma on Highway 21. One in Reedsburg, too, if I remember right.
10/07/2009 at 3:08 am #1914958Isn’t there still one in Clintonville?
10/07/2009 at 11:52 am #191495910/07/2009 at 12:53 pm #1914960Waupun’s is empty. But I thought this was a thread about the ‘S’ word! 😉
10/07/2009 at 1:09 pm #1914961Went to the Pamida website and found 18 stores in Wisconsin:
Abbotsford, Adams, Arcadia, Ashland, Clintonville, Eagle River, Ellsworth, Hayward, Kewaunee, Ladysmith, Lancaster, Neillsville, Oconto, Park Falls, Reedsburg, Sister Bay, Spooner, and Wautoma.
So there you have it. And you can buy all sorts of snow shovels, ice scrapers, winter clothing, boots, etc., at Pamida to prepare for the upcoming winter weather, like this weekend’s cold and possible SNOW!
(Are you happy, now JimandLinda?)
10/07/2009 at 2:09 pm #1914962I AM happy now! But it doesn’t take much. 😉
10/07/2009 at 8:06 pm #1914963The Pamida in Kewaunee is a lifesaver. Only ten miles away. Otherwise from Algoma if you want something you can’t get at the dollar store it’s 20 miles to Sturgeon Bay or 30 to Green Bay.
10/07/2009 at 10:56 pm #1914964I was thinking of the Clintonville one when I wrote Wittenburg… ya know I get all those flat towns south of 29 mixed up.
