Event planners please send a personal invitation to Genius Loci for all events. We don’t want to miss the opportunity to read any of his logs….

      Pinewoods Cache September 27, 2003

…Greenback and I relished the opportunity to tag along with the wonderfully merry little ‘Breakfast Crew’, for it’s certainly true that we’d not eschew to accrue a ‘Hoodie-hoo’ when we’d pursued the clue, and the next cache came into view. Whew! – Genius Loci (the Guardian Spirit of a Place)

Wow!! That is one of the longest, best written logs I have ever read! LOL! Well done Genius Loci! Thanks to Geoffnsara for creating a new geocaching buzz-word.

      Hoodie-hoo,

As a special ed teacher, I’m trying to figure out how that is pronounced. “hoodie” as in a hood on a jacket? Or, is it more like “hoo-dy” like an owl? Call me a phonics geek, but I can just see myself shouting it out in the woods all wrong! [:P]

I heard it straight from the source – Sara of Geoffnsara. It sounds like the owl. Ask her for a demo at breakfast Saturday… nobody says it quite like Sara.

            or is it…

            No! No! No!

Gomer Pyle USMC (television show of the 60s). He used to say “the phrase” whenever he found something.

My grandfather told me about it.

Upon further investigation or “googling it” or in this case Hooty-hooing it, I found few links.

            Good call Grampa JThorson!
