Look what I found at a garage sale this afternoon.
Plastic soda bottle shown for size reference.
04/02/2010 at 8:19 pm #1926364I have seen a few of those stocked with enough goodies to call them toy Boxes. I dislike them, because the girls spend an hour trying to make up their minds. 😀
04/02/2010 at 8:22 pm #1926365I’ve seen bigger. 😈

probably for those 120mm tank rounds, Im guessing.
I think I’ll have a hard enough time finding a hiding place in the woods for this one.
04/03/2010 at 12:25 am #1926367Dont go putting that thing in any of the state parks unless you wnat to put a picture window in it.
04/03/2010 at 1:46 am #1926368If you want to look for large ammo cans, check out GC1DXWF (Devastation & Aftermath).
It had the largest ammo box that I’ve seen thus far.
04/03/2010 at 1:51 am #1926369Ice Berg !! GC12M17
Is pretty big too…
04/03/2010 at 2:27 am #1926370With all those much larger geocache containers, my ammo can is starting to feel a little inadequate, even though its roughly the size of a microwave.
😯

This is the cache I was thinking of
04/04/2010 at 4:03 pm #1926372It’s not the size that matters, it’s how you use it… 😛 😯 😆
04/05/2010 at 12:07 am #1926373We actually hid one of those containers at the very first WGA event (S/E Wisconsin Geo Picnic) at Pike Lake State Park. It got to be too hard to conceal after a while, so we changed out the container. I still have the huge ammo box at my house. I can’t see putting it in the woods these days.
04/05/2010 at 2:39 am #1926374Placed another one the size of Devastation & Aftermath this weekend, will do the write up tomorrow, its going to be a hike to get to though.

04/13/2010 at 8:39 pm #1926375Just a FYI, our cache has this size container at its final location. It’s been lonely and I’m sure would like a visit 😉

04/14/2010 at 12:19 pm #1926376If anyone finds another large ammo box like that, I would be interested in purchasing it. My wife wants to establish a book exchange cache and a large container like that would be ideal.

There are some very large ones at the Army-Navy store on Hastings Way in Eau Claire, if you get down this way.
