Hello WGA! So I would like to hide a cache in a Waukesha County Park. I believe that the rules for the Waukesha County Park system are that you have to obtain permission before activating the cache. I sent in my permission application about two months ago and still haven’t heard back from them. What do I do? Do I just consider them notified and place the cache? Or do I send another permission form and keep waiting? I want to play by the rules but the last time I placed one in a county park I heard back from them in less than a week. There are several other caches there so I don’t think they are against caching in general. What do you think? ❓
Oh the woes of the short geocacher!
I would think it depends on the language used on the form. For example, the state DNR office provides “notification” form and not a “permission” form for placing caches on state land.
I don’t think it would hurt to give the county parks department a call on Monday if you are able to and ask someone about it.
I have quite a few in the Waukesha County Parks and most were reviewed within 48 hours. Sounds like yours got lost. I would re-submit it.
Yea, you’re probably right. OK, I printed out a new paper an this time I included a SASE for good measure. Hopefully we can get this thing published soon. My son is getting anxious!
