Uhmmmm….I’m all for camping out as long as I can flush the toilet, wash w/ hot running water, turn on the television for noise, and get that wakeup call from the front desk so I’m not late for pancakes. As for the Commander, well…MajorBrat

For Trudy camping, there are motels in Chippewa Falls and I saw a sign for a B&B a couple of miles from the park entrance – more expensive than the motels in town, though.

And then on 3/12/05 I posted:
The motel actually closest to the park is not a standard chain-type motel, I suspect. I’d have to look up distances to know for certain. There are some old fashioned types of motels at the north end of Chippewa Falls (Glen Loch Motel, Edelweiss Motel) but I don’t know anything about their quality. There are some chain motels on the south side of Chippewa Falls (AmericInn, Country Inn, Park Inn) that really aren’t that much further of a drive – especially if you take the bypass around the city. (Yes, a bypass around a 13,000 pop city. The rush hour in Chippewa lasts for at least 10 minutes or so.) There are also a few Bed & Breakfast’s in the area, but my guess is that they are the most expensive places.04/06/2005 at 7:59 pm #1758433We booked a room at the Park Inn. I was told their pool is open 24 hours….ahh the comforts of camping.
04/06/2005 at 8:55 pm #1758434T&tb will be at the Country Inn in C.Falls
They have an old-folks rate and a pool.04/06/2005 at 9:04 pm #1758435Well the official bnb is camping… and
The other B&Bs are pricey… and
I refuse to accept an old folks rate…So I booked at the Park Inn in Chippewa Falls.
