…the challenge is back on! A couple of months ago I archived Do Not Find This Cache because it was plundered. It turns out Trudy and the Beast found the cache container, sans logbook, and wedged it between a couple of trees.
I happened to be driving past Scout Lake Park today after finding a couple of Otter’s to the south, and wondered what the odds were that the container would still be there, and if it were, could I find it? Turns out the odds were pretty good as I found the container about five feet above the ground between a couple of trees.
i stopped at the Walgreens across the street to pick up a new logbook and a couple of writing utensils, found a much better (I hope) hiding spot, and now the cache is unarchived and back in business! Yay!
Remember: the challenge is to resist going out to find this cache! According to this thread, some of you were not quite as strong as others.
Since the cache is in a new location, the truly addicted/hopeless are welcome to log a second find if you find it again!
My only request: I didn’t have a zip-lock to put the logbook in, so if the first finder could please bring one with, I’d be much appreciative!
Also, this is a “winter-friendly” cache, so no looking for pill containers buried at ground level under a layer of leaves and a foot of snow
Good luck! (not finding it!) And thanks again to Trudy and the Beast (who I coincidentally crossed paths with earlier this morning at “Those Still on Patrol”) for finding the old container!
