A friend of mine recently published a new multi-cache GC4B6JG, which pays tribute to what he thought was the oldest multi in the state of WI GC1174. But after further investigation it turns out that was the second oldest multi.
Does anyone happen to know which one was the first? Thanks!

It’s harder to look for archived caches, but lord of the caches predates this one and is still active. I looked through a couple of long time cacher’s profiles and sorted their multis by placed date.
thank you, I should have to realized lord of the caches was older. is there a place I can get the list of the oldest?

If you just want active caches, do a search for wisconsin, then click on”placed date.” It will arrange the caches in order of publication date for you. Also, the challenge cache that kungfuhippie has for wisconsin’s 13 oldest, located in gov. Dodge sp, has a bookmark of those. Hth
so now I’m wondering if Gc1174 is the oldest archived multi cache in Wisconsin?

Actually, it is. As far as all multis, Collectibles Cache is the second oldest. The first published multicache to be archived was GC1577, which was active for only one month.

Ha! Look at Socko’s log on there.
