Second, it does not translate to a bookmark list, which means there’s no easy way to download it, see what’s near you, etc.
So, what you are saying is that I have been wasting my time maintaining a bookmark list of all the caches in the Recommended forum?
I’m certainly biased toward my own caches, but only 1 S|S cache on a recommended list of almost 500 alongside a whole bunch of others that I have done, which I wouldn’t recommend to others, tells me this method too is subject to cache owner bias and regional emphasis.
Like some other “must do” bookmark lists, I wouldn’t trust this one to be a good representation of the best ones out there either. And I certainly wouldn’t use it…
Perception.

The list is what it is, an unedited (well, almost) list of all the caches recommended by people on the recommended caches forum. The edited part is that I don’t add caches recommended by their owners (unless they slip it by me). And no, I don’t understand why someone recommended a webcam in Cleveland, certain “just ok” virtuals, plain film cans in cemeteries, and many other questionable choices, but they would probably think I was crazy to recommend some of the extreme caches I liked. Also, remember that caches that were groundbreaking in 2003 might seem a little average in 2009. But others might consider those classics.
That said, I don’t understand your comment. There is absolutely nothing to suggest that there is a regional bias, since any one from any area can contribute to the list without restriction. Cache owner bias doesn’t make sense as cache owners don’t get to recommend their own caches.
