Geocaching.com didn’t like something in a new cache that I planned to have available for this weekend. For fear that it won’t be listed by Sunday, here are the details if you are looking for one to do in Waukesha County.

Located in the Kettle Morain South Unit and Ice Age Trail.

What started as a virtual is now a full-fledged ammo box cache! The coordinates will take you to a historical home. It is across from Paradise springs, which requires a state sticker to park or be very careful and park on the road at your own risk. Look for a tag on the house with a DNR building number. It will be five numbers. Look carefully and record the last three! The first two are 05. So, we are looking for 05XXX. The cache coordinates are N42 53.XXX minus 144. W88 30.XXX minus 454.

The Cache is near the ICE AGE TRAIL. You can bushwhack straight there or I strongly suggest using the trail. Parking is at N42 52.994 W88 30.236, which is off Hwy 59 and N42 53.615 W88 29.633 which is on Hwy N. All three starting points are about equidistant from the cache.

Cache is an ammo box with usual items. No clues or hints except for finding the first tag.

This was a nice cache. We went today before the game and was the second one there. Badlatitude beat us. The walk through the prairie was harsh with the wind in our faces. We also found A Little Bit of Paradise while in the area.

Well, a critical question has been answered!

We now know that if geocaching.com ever goes down, caches posted on the WGA forums will work!

This concludes the test of the Emergency Cache Posting System… This was only a test.

    Thanks Steve!
