I found a path tag and don’t know much about them but I had to log it in on their website. Are these like trackables or geocoins? Relatively new to caching and just looking for more info on these. Thanks.
09/24/2010 at 1:41 am #1936447If you find a path tag, you can keep it for yourself, or move it along if you want. Logging on the path tag web site lets the owner of the tag know who found it and where. They are more like a signature item that the owner trades or leaves in caches. They are a less expensive alternative to have one’s own special geocoin made up.
Regular geocoins and travel bugs, however, are the property of the owners of them, and, therefore, should NOT be kept but should continue to move.

Agreed!
09/24/2010 at 5:08 pm #1936450I just ordered mine yesterday! 😀
09/24/2010 at 9:12 pm #1936451basicly you keep them or trade them like baseball cards or you can simply drop it in another cache.
09/30/2010 at 8:22 pm #1936452Just learned about them today and already ordered up my first starter set of 50. What a cool way to leave your mark in a cache or pass along to others. Ughh, I can’t believe I have to wait 4-6 weeks……is it time yet??….now?…what about now?……. 😀
09/30/2010 at 8:44 pm #1936453My first tags are in production as well, so once they arrive I’d be more than happy to trade with any of my fellow WGAers who are into pathtags.
09/30/2010 at 10:03 pm #1936454THanks to the WGA providing discount cards for pathtags at the WGA picnic, I just ordered my first set as well.
10/03/2010 at 3:08 pm #1936455wow i’ve been wanting pathtags for a while but can never seem to scape the 100 dollars together.. maybe for a christmas or birthday present… 😛
10/03/2010 at 6:17 pm #1936456Yeah, once you get that “starter’ kit out of the way for $100, reorders come to only about .99 cents a tag, which is a nice deal. Its that initial set up, blue printing and other initial red tape that makes the first order so pricey. I’m just worried that i’m gonna get “creation fever” and want to make different ones all the time. Thats alot of starter sets. 😛
