Re: Parts. What brand/model PDA did you get? I have spare sync cables (not cradles) for the Palm Pilot/Palm III series, and possibly the Palm V series (I’d have to check on this one). I also have a junk drawer full of PDA “accessories” that might be of some use… styli, various covers, some Handspring modules, etc.
Sorry I forgot to say I got a Palm m125. Thanks for the quick response, I’ll get started with the links you provided.

I have had a reply. I will keep you guys informed as to my progress.
Anyone care to send me a copy of a pocket querry which contains two files, a .gpx file and the .prc file to go with it? It can be a 50 or 75 mile radius from anywhere….or whatever. I just borrowed a Handspring Visor Pro and have been messing around with it and would like to try a sample before I commit to anything.

Mike,
I sent you two emails containing a .prc and a .gpx file. I’ll also forward the results of one of my queries when it arrives today.
Brian
I figured out that Mobipocket is useless on the Visor Pro. One fatal Exception after another while trying to scroll. I figured out GPX Spinner and Plucker and am convinced this IS the way to go! 500 caches, 3 links deep took up only about 800k. Thanks Billy and Brian for the example files to experiment on!
