Hey all,
Just a reminder that there are several great permanent caches at Governor Dodge, and room for more, if the local folks would like to plant some prior to the campout.
TLB’s Earthcache was published there today. Also, I want to give a big “Thank You” to LMcGisme for planting 3 more perm caches (in addition to all her help with the temps) that will be published the day of the event.
That makes a total of 10 perm caches in the park, so there is a lot to do at the campout, in addition to the temps. The WGA is not planting perm caches at the event, but local people might consider this a good time to put a new cache at Governor Dodge.

05/08/2008 at 7:49 pm #1889032GREAT! We were hoping this would be the case.
Are the new perms. going to be download-able on the day? Or am I gonna have to bring my laptop and cell-card from work to get the info?
Can you IMAGE the race for 3 FTF’s with the crew of people that will be there! Watch out for the tread marks across my back when they run me over!

We will have all the permanent caches in the set of waypoints that we download on Saturday morning. We will probably also have a permanent cache “sheet” with basic information about each permanent cache… which should be sufficient for these caches, since they are not puzzles or anything complicated.
Zuma (and the rest of the Campout Committee) has access to the coordinates for these 3 caches. What are the chances that a FTF opportunity will still exist on Saturday morning? ๐ ๐

LOL…Well, I wont be going after FTF on those 3, but do hope to find them during the campout. Having the coords ahead of time, would take the fun out of the FTF for me. BTW, I have the coords for all 72 of the MN state park caches that come out May 11, in case someone wants em (cheap). ๐
