      Someone we know just might use it to put down the corrected coordinates from puzzle solves. Also, any thoughts/hints for use in the field. Works great, they say, if one is on the road, and needs to pull up such helpful info on their smart phone. Also, they say, if they have a bad memory, it might be useful for pulling out PAF information. 😳

      Lastly, they say, why the heck did it take Groundspeak so long to add this great feature!?

        I just used this feature to make a note on a puzzle I’m trying to solve that X did not work for this one. That way, I know I’ve tried that whenever I get back to it.

        No smartphone, so all the reasons huffinpuffin’s friend mentioned help us, but I thought it was rather cool for this purpose.

        Or was after the cache description…

        I have used it on all of the new caches that I have placed. It’s a handy place to keep track of info if it was a puzzle. I also put a note as to the type of container and how it’s hidden. This is a nice feature for me with over 200 caches placed. One of the better improvements on the website.

        I had used the additional waypoints field for that information…though this is much more convenient.

        Thanks for all the feedback! Now what does PAF mean?

        #1937938

        PAF=Phone a friend

        Ditto x 2. I HATE intrusive “fluff” that I can’t configure to not see. Might as well through a big banner ad right in the top of this baby. Placement is horrible and I don’t trust anyone else to store my data. One little slip by the programmers and all this info becomes public knowledge. Are you really sure you want to keep puzzle notes for your own caches in here?

        You’re not paranoid, everyone is out to get you.:P

        That’s why I only use the notes feature to write snide logs about crappy caches. It’s very cathartic.

        I know, I know. Everyone except the nice guys in the white coats with that funny jacket with the buckles and really long sleeves. Those guys are always really realy nice to me. 😆
