I am curious as to some of the biggest pet peeves that people have. From reading the forums, I know that quite a few pertain to caching, but I am curious about the non-caching pet peeves.
I have quite a few of them, and at times, I’ll admit that I commit some the same ones that really get me peeved.
For example, when I’m in a hurry, it peeves me when I get behind a driver that will not do at least the posted speed limit. When I am up north on vacation, I find that I drive below the posted speed limit. Not on purpose. I think it’s just because I’m relaxed and not in a hurry to do anything but enjoy my time away from home and work.Others I have include:
-babies being held on one’s lap in the front seat of a moving vehicle,
-a driver that pulls out right in front of you when you are the only car he has to wait for and then turns a 1/4 mile up the road,
-people driving with a pet on their lap,
-the lady that runs her shopping cart into you and shoots you a dirty lookI have a lot more and can probably write a book of them. But now I want to see what peeves you off.
05/28/2009 at 11:20 pm #1908585This is an easy one. Our pet peeve is people who yak on their cell phone while checking out in a store as people are waiting behind them. We should be able to legally confiscate the phone and smash it if we so choose. 👿

ditto
Add:
People who don’t use their turn signal.
When people honk their horn.
Bass thumping cars.I may add more as the thread progresses and I think of more.

…drives me up the wall.
Here it is folks…listen carefully…do you hear a “T”?

05/29/2009 at 2:06 pm #1908588Those who spell cemetery, cemetary…
Those who complain and do not offer a solution.
Letterboxers who never check or remove the listing of their missing box.
Smokers who do not think package tops or butts are litter, so they just toss them out the window.
People who continue to do the same thing over and over and expect a different result.
People who say I have too much time on my hands because I get a lot accomplished. Time is the great equalizer we all get 24 hours in each day.
Using the word “alot” it is not a word!

Someday when I run the universe I am going to implement “Cosmic Karma.” This is my philosophy that any trash that someone throws outside their car window automatically teleports itself to the middle of their living room.

I like this idea! My yelling “litterbug” out the window as I pass them doesn’t seem to be working too well.
05/29/2009 at 4:03 pm #1908592How about the people that have the radio in the car turned up so loud that your car vibrates and you can’t hear what you have playing? 😡
05/29/2009 at 4:06 pm #1908593When somebody tosses a cigarette butt out the car window, I always want to go over, pick it up and hand it back to them. I would say something witty like “Hey, you dropped this.”
Unfortunately, I have never done this for fear of getting beat up.
05/29/2009 at 5:35 pm #1908594Drivers that drive down the 25mph street I live on doing over 40.
05/29/2009 at 5:38 pm #1908595A little common courtesy….when a “You’re welcome” is the appropriate response to “Thank you”, instead you get a “No problem.” HUH???? I must be behind on the times 🙁

05/29/2009 at 5:57 pm #1908596let’s see…I have way too many…
1. pens without caps
2. dirty socks left in the living room
3. cupboard doors not being closed
4. any type of junk in the front yard that doesn’t belong there – which pretty much includes everything
5. closet doors left openThere’s way too many. I’ll stop now…

Well, we did that yesterday. Searched a spot 3-4 times before finally coming up with the find, so we DID get a different result that time. 🙂
