    Fog Lights:
If it isn’t foggy, turn your fog lights off. And it’s one or the other, not both.

    People talking in libraries:
Not too many years ago, the quiet policy in libraries was respected and enforced. That is no longer the case.
It’s a place to read and study, it’s not a place for you to hang out with your friends. Go to a coffee shop or a bookstore if thats what you want. This is still a library!
Just because there is a row of computers with internet access in libraries does not make it ok to read outloud to your neighbor the funny facebook status your friend wrote on your “wall”.
And when you’re in the library, either turn your cell phone off or leave it at home.

People who scratch off lottery tickets on the counter at the gas station
How many times has this happened to you?
Not only does it take them forever to decided WHICH scratch off lottery tickets they want to buy (2 of those, 4 of those, 3 of them, 1 of that) They stand there at the counter and scratch them off while there is a line behind them.

    Here or To Go
Please don’t assume that just because I walked into McDonalds alone it does not mean it’s ok for you to give me my food in a bag as if I wanted it “to go” without asking me first.

    My change
First of all, whatever happened to COUNTING my change in front of me so I know I’m not getting ripped off because of your inability to do basic math?
And whats up with trying to give me the bills and the coins all in the same handful? Is that so the coins can fly all over the place?
If you really want to piss me off, wait until I go through the drive through. In that case, please try and hand me my beverage AND my change in the same handful so that everything can fall on the ground.

People who still write checks at the store
It’s 2010, yet there are people who still don’t understand the conveniences of a check card or debit card. The money comes out of the exact same account!
Checks still have their place in society. (Paying bills, for example) but not in line at the grocery store.
In case you do feel the need to write a check at the grocery store ESPECIALLY IN THE EXPRESS LANE, please, while you’re waiting in line, you can do EVERYONE a favor by filling out the basic information such as the name, date, etc. ahead of time.

    Traffic/ Driving Pet Peeves:

People who pass you on the road, only to turn off at the next intersection.
Congratulations! you just saved yourself .08 seconds of your very valuable time. You’re welcome.

People who accelerate as you try to pass them. If you were unaware that you were going slow, when I’m along side you on a 2 lane road is NOT the time to try and make up for it.

People who insists on driving exactly 5 mph slower on a STRAIGHT ROAD just because it snowed a little. 5 mph will not make a difference as to whether your car spins out of control or not. If you’re going to drive slow, please drive really slow so it’s easier for the long line of bunched up traffic to pass you. Or better yet, just pull over to the side of the road every once in a while so we can all get around.

Turn Signal THEN brake, not the other way around. And 100′ + is not too soon to use your turn signal. 200′ would be better. 500′ or more when your speed is 50mph or faster.

Those are called daytime running lights. They are automatically on at all times.

Don’t bother me either way. Whether I get it on a tray or in a bag, I still get my food either way.

Not everyone is eligible for a debit card. Plus many elderly people prefer paying by check either by choice or because they do not understand now a debit card works. Oh, and it takes just as long waiting for debit or credit approval to go through. Longer if it is credit as the buyer still has to sign the credit slip.

Fellow classm ates who dont understand that Outdoor Adventures for is not an appropriate title for a newsletter! Who is it for?
The same people put a shadow coming off the table of contents to the edge of the page! What is it there for? It looks like crap! Plus they forgot to put all of the articles into the table of contents. Oh yea, the lettering for it was two different colors. It started blue and ended in black font!
And while I’m at it, stretching a picture to fill in white space, verticle only, looks worse than leaving it with white space!
Man I better still get an A or I’ll be pissed.
And YES I did say to fix all those but one woman overuled everyone! It was a group of four and I got blamed for dominating the group!

There was one time I was at the grocery store, and I had a lot of stuff, and when I had unloaded most of it, the checker told the customer ahead of me that the card system was down and they could only accept cash or a check. With only a twenty in my wallet, it was a good thing I had the check book along to pay for the groceries. I usually use the debit card. That trip to the store was a mess for everyone at that time.

People going the wrong way in the malls, they need to put arrows and one way signs up for traffic in the malls. Getting rid of the kiosks would help that tremendously.

People that go to the Customer Service counter because they don’t have anyone else to talk to! Waited for a good 5 minutes at a counter yesterday, and the gender-neutral person in front of me talked that long, but never asked a question! The employee never said a word, so I walked out of the store. As I passed by the window, the one-sided conversation was still in progress. 👿

I don’t have very many “pet peeves”, but that just rubs me the wrong way!

Meh. Fog lights don’t bother me if it is not foggy. It still makes the car more visible from the distance when I’m on a two lane highway and trying to pass. I like any cars with headlights, daytime lights, or fog lights on so I can see them more clearly and better judge the distance in order for me to pass safely.

I agree with that one. The middle of winter, cars driving by 1 block away, and my pictures bouncing around the walls because of thumping bass. That is no exaggeration. A lot of good the new noise laws do when nothing is ever done about it. One day someone might be lurking on that street corner and go all postal. I sure hope it’s not me.

people that don’t dim their bright lights until they are about to pass you. I thought there was some general distance you were supposed to dim them at but maybe that went out the window some time.

and those people that follow you with their brights on, what is the sense in that? so they can see your car better?
